A 2-year-old boy is in the hospital after his father backed over him in the family?s Sport Utility Vehicle in St. James Friday.
Witnesses say the boy, Robert, was in his driveway when the SUV backed into him. Robert was rushed to Stony Brook Hospital, where he is being treated for a broken leg and internal injuries.
Neighbors say the boy has a twin brother named Hunter.
