The Ryder Cup is officially underway at Bethpage Black, fans across Long Island are showing their support for Team USA. Barcaro in Massapequa Park is hosting weekend-long watch parties, complete with themed cocktails, pizza specials and "birdie" chicken wings. The restaurant also offered free swag provided by Optimum, including golf balls, hats and towels. Supporters packed into the restaurant Friday, chanting "USA." "I'm looking forward to, one, USA winning, and two, just really hyping the whole boulevard thing here in Massapequa Park, and all the people who have come to visit us to enjoy the watch party," said Thomas Soluri, owner of Barcaro. Barcaro says some of the proceeds from its raffle will go to FIRST Long Island, a nonprofit that helps kids pursue interests in technology. Ryder Cup watch parties will run through Sunday, when the final putt drops.
