A new plan could get more local businesses and attractions some much-needed help.
If approved by Congress, the Family Fun Act would allow more small businesses to become eligible for the more than $16 billion in federal pandemic aid.
That includes attractions like Adventureland, where Reps. Tom Suozzi and Andrew Garbarino discussed the bill Wednesday. The park is looking to bounce back from a lost season in 2020.
"We have a whole year of 2020, our bills still have to be paid. Our deferred payments have to be paid. There's a lot of things that people don't realize behind the scenes that need to be done," says Adventureland President Steve Gentile.
According to new data, amusement parks have the lowest number of employees since 1990.
