HEADLINES:
  • More record-breaking warmth on Long Island Friday. Islip Airport hit 80 degrees, breaking the previous record of 77 degrees in 1982.
  • Fall makes a comeback this weekend with mostly clear skies and much cooler temperatures.
  • Long Island is now in a moderate drought and there is no big measurable rain headed our way in the extended forecast.
  • Following a cool weekend, temperatures will be on the rise again next week as the roller coaster ride continues.
