Details: Autumn means apples! This year marks the 27th Annual Long Island Apple Festival
The Sherwood-Jayne Farm is East Setauket hosts the event. This family friendly event gives you a chance to explore an 18th century farmhouse and vast apple orchards that are still in use. There's old-fashioned games, colonial cooking demonstration, and sheep shearing.

Details: The history is brought to the present at the annual Fall Festival at Sagtikos Manor. Guests will have the opportunity to see the Third NY Revolutionary Regiment perform as well as learn some of their daily routines. People will also see colonial trades exhibits, including quilters, potters and basket weavers. In addition to the exhibits, there will be crafts and old-fashioned games for children. The historical manor house and cemetery will be opened for self-guide tours and colonial music can be heard throughout the day.

South Shore Surf Fishing Classic

Awards Ceremony: Sunday, Oct.16, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Captree Bait and Tackle Shop in Captree State Park
Details: $15.00 entry fee per person. All fish must be hooked and landed from the beach, surf, jetty, bank or pier within the legal boundaries of Jones Inlet to Moriches inlet. $750.00 cash prizes will be awarded to the first place winners for the largest Striped Bass and largest Blue Fish. The Great Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular Sail

Details: This Halloween-inspired event offers FREE fun for all ages. Children can make scary crafts, play assorted games, visit the "Spooky Den" and various trick or treat stations. We encourage everyone to come in costume and to bring treat-or-treat bags. The highlight of the event is the pumpkin sail, which will feature 50+ pumpkins "sailing" on Belmont Lake.
