The FAA says a plane that took off from MacArthur Airport violated a no-fly zone restriction that was in place in New York City due to President Joe Biden’s presence at the United Nations.
News 12 confirmed a military plane was called into action after a single-engine Cessna was seen around New York City.
The FAA says the plane took off from the Ronkonkoma airport around 12 p.m. Wednesday.
There is no word on where the plane was taken, but News 12 is told Homeland Security was at Republic Airport in Farmingdale Wednesday afternoon.
