? Explosives and other suspicious devices were discovered by MacArthur Airport personnel in a passenger?s baggage Thursday morning, which led to an evacuation.
Investigators say the devices were found in a carry-on bag and a checked bag belonging to Steven Nobles. Nobles, who was traveling to Las Vegas, was stopped at the ticket counter and taken into police custody for questioning.
TSA officials say Nobles had a small knife, a wire, ammunition and fireworks in his bags. There were also unconfirmed reports a pipe bomb was found.
The discoveries prompted the closure of the airport for nearly two hours. More than 400 passengers were also delayed. However, airport operations have since returned to normal.
Nobles is charged with carrying a weapon or explosive device on an aircraft, which is a felony.
