Chester, a unique town with an old New England feel, celebrates history, art, music, theater, crafts and cuisine for families to enjoy.
From the gazing at natural beauty to visiting the shops and galleries and dining at the restaurants, there's always something to look forward to in Chester.
Visitors can stop by the vintage and new shops showcasing beautiful prints and botanicals along with glass blowing art.
The Norma Terris Theater is also a highlight of the area, which is part of the Goodspeed Opera House.
Older buildings here from the 1800s are still up, making part of the charm of the downtown area.
The Little House Brewing company has been operating for six years so far, serving easy drinking lagers to heavily hot New England IPAs.
The town will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 20 with activities all day.
The Chester - Hadlyme Ferry, which began service in 1769, runs from April until November.
