A 22-year-old mother is in the hospital with multiple broken bones after being hit by a car in Throgs neck on Wednesday.

The NYPD says the 22-year-old was crossing Harding Avenue and Throgs Neck Boulevard when an unknown vehicle struck her causing injury to her leg.
Police say the vehicle fled the location in an unknown direction and did not remain on the scene.
The victim's family says she will now need multiple surgeries after suffering from broken bones.
