A Suffolk parent tells News 12 she met with police and prosecutors about allegations of child neglect and abuse at Tutor Time in Lindenhurst.
This comes a week after the daycare received 10 violations from state investigators, the daycare's license could be revoked pending a state investigation, and police arrested a daycare employee for allegedly assaulting an 18-month-old at the facility.
The parent, who asked we refer to her as Jennifer, says the police told her she’s not the only parent they’ve heard from.
"I met with the police and the prosecutors together," she said. "They're meeting with everyone that has come forward and just trying to get everyone's story.
News 12 was the first to report when parents expressed concerns after seeing police outside the daycare for hours during pickup on Friday, Feb. 28.

"I think all the parents are just scared. They want more answers,” said Jennifer. "I think everyone is worried about the school shutting down at this point and not having anywhere for their children to go."
Crime Victims Center Exec. Director Laura Ahearn says parents should see if a daycare has violations by checking the Office of Children and Family Services website.
"Even if your children are in a child care center that has cameras, it's no guarantee that something is not going to happen,” said Ahearn.
Ahearn also says to make sure you interview daycare staff, and not just the supervisors.
"Sometimes they don't allow you access to their staff. That's a red flag,” said Ahearn. “You should interview the director, and interview the staff. And stop by at different times to ensure there's adequate supervision."
Ahearn also recommends asking about the training staff receive at a daycare.
News 12 contacted Tutor Time again for a comment about the violations and the possible license revocation, but the facility has yet to respond.
Suffolk police will only say the investigation into the daycare is continuing.
