A South Shore theater is set to reopen after years of closures.
News 12 Long Island got an exclusive inside look Thursday at the newly-renovated South Bay Cinemas in West Babylon.
Jay Levinson was once a patron at the movie theater on Montauk Highway. He's hoping to bring it back to what it once was.
"It has a good mix of a crowd," Levinson says. "You get the young, you get the middle aged, you get the senior citizens."
Some of the new amenities that will be available at South Bay Cinema are reclining chairs and a full-service bar with a lounge area.
"You come in early for the show, you'll be able to have a nice drink," Levinson says. "We're going to have different types of food.
He says there will also be new screens in each of the five theaters, hopefully by sometime in May.
Levinson also says they will be charging less than most theaters, either $10 or $11 for adults. He says senior citizens will pay $6.
Super Tuesdays will also cost $6 and Senior Thursdays will be $5.
The theater will be open seven days a week starting at 1 p.m.
