A former Stony Brook University wide receiver has retired from the NFL before he ever played a snap in the league.
Adrian Coxson, 23, suffered a Grade 3 concussion during training camp last month with the Green Bay Packers.
He says the damage is so severe, the next hit to his head could have possibly killed him.
Earlier this year, former 49ers linebacker Chris Borland made headlines after retiring at 24 because of his concern of head injuries.
