The former deputy town attorney for the Town of Oyster Bay will take the stand Monday in the Mangano-Venditto federal corruption trial.
Fred Mei wore a wire for months for the FBI and is cooperating with the government in the case against former Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, his wife Linda and former Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto.
Harendra Singh has already testified in court that Mangano bribed Mei with thousands of dollars in cash, free trips and lease payments on a BMW, all in exchange for town loan guarantees.
Mei has already pleaded guilty and is working with the prosecution.
