Officials say if a customer receives an email from PSEG LI asking for personal information, it's a scam.

Long Islanders have endured a string of utility scams, including the one in November where LIPA customers were told to pay bills with Green Dot Money Pacs.

Freeport Electric customers received calls from scammers in October.

Officials say the new email scam asks PSEG customers to provide personal information.

PSEG says it doesn't ask customers for information without logging into "My Account."
