Black candles and chicken bones placed on the grounds of a cemetery in Elmont are angering and scaring local residents.
The cemetery of the Presbyterian Church in Elmont is now covered with black candles and chicken bones instead of flowers. The president of the Elmont Civic Association, Patrick Nicolosi, says although the candles anger local residents, many are too afraid to remove them for fear of a voodoo spell. The candles have been placed on the grounds over a one month period.
Police say they have beefed up security in the area, but are not starting an investigation because no crime has been committed.
