An Elmont native is hoping his birthday celebration will inspire others to give back.
Daniel Alexis and his friends traveled into the city earlier this month for his 22nd birthday. Instead of partying, the young man delivered food, clothing, water and messages of inspiration to the homeless.
They posted a video online that has already been viewed and shared hundreds of times, using the hashtag #TheGiveback.
