A pedestrian was hit and killed in East Northport.

Pierino Liberta, 81, of Saint James, was trying to cross Larkfield Road around 11 p.m. Monday night, Suffolk police say.

He was struck by a 2020 Subaru Outback in front of Larkfield Lanes.

The 19-year-old driver stayed on the scene, according to police.

Liberta was pronounced dead at the scene.
