A going away party for a North Sea teen turned into the site of an ugly brawl Thursday.
Police say 19-year-old Andrew Alessandrini was having a party at his house on Turtle Pond Road when 30 people armed with bats, sticks and bricks showed up ready to fight. Alessandrini was one of eight people taken to the hospital, though he suffered only minor injuries. He says one of his friends has a broken jaw and another may need plastic surgery.
Police believe one of the attackers was the ringleader, angered he was kicked out of a different party a few nights earlier. Four arrests have been made, but the accused ringleader is still on the loose. Alessandrini says neither he nor anyone at his party had anything to do with the cause of the brawl.
