Today, the Cradle of Aviation Museum is celebrating the return of Spring with its annual egg drop competition.
News 12 Long Island was there with the students who designed a device to protect their precious eggs from the sudden impact of a fall from the museum balcony.
The egg drop competition is opened to students in grades 1-8. The students have to complete their devices, and they also have to bring their own eggs.
Teachers that book a field trip and registered students for the egg drop also receive a complimentary lesson to help the class prepare the most efficient egg drop devices!
