Students at Eastport-South Manor High School gathered Thursday morning for its 11th annual Stuff-A-School donation event.
Organizers say they collect food, clothes, toys and pet supplies from local families in the community.
"Every year our students look to provide help to our community," says Principal Sal Alaimo. "It builds not only the spirit of the holiday season, but also teaches our students the importance of community service."
Alaimo says the items are donated to food pantries, homes and troops who need supplies during the holiday season.
Students say they set up their own food pantry this year for goods to be distributed to children in the area.
Different ensemble and choir groups performed at the school throughout the day.
