The Long Island Rail Road advised customers of disruptions during the evening rush Friday due to reduced capacity in the East River tunnels.
The LIRR said it only had use of three of four of the East River tunnels.
MTA police at one point limited access into Penn Station due to crowding conditions.
LIRR local service between Jamaica Station and Penn Station and between Woodside and Penn in both directions has been restored.
