An East Northport man has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexually abusing his great niece.
The man, whose name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity, was convicted in March.
Prosecutors say the abuse began the day the girl graduated kindergarten and continued for five years.
She told her mother about it two years after the abuse ended.
