I haven't heard that. I had a great grandmother. Yeah, Pepsi and peanuts and eat what you want and be happy and enjoy the weather. That's right and get outside and eat outside. Tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day. I see the headline right there. I know after a cold spell we have a nice little warm up ahead even through the weekend. And this weekend it will be the unofficial start to winter. It's meteorological winter which begins on December 1st. So, uh winter is right around the corner here. We are also tracking a couple of rain showers. First batch will come in Friday then late Sunday and early next week. So the weather is turning a little bit unsettled as we get out of this cold spell tomorrow morning, it is calm and cold 29 degrees, but we are getting up to 48 in the afternoon. It's a pretty big difference and you'll feel it. It's going to be just a beautiful day and that sunshine is going to be great, mostly clear right now. No problems around just zooming out to show you the big picture. We don't have any big storms coming, there is an area of low pressure all the way down by Texas and that's going to head our way into the weekend and that will bring us some of those showers. So tonight, mostly clear at 6 a.m. 30 Glen Cove 26 in Hampton Bays. There's the forties in the afternoon, so it is going to feel warmer. It's a seasonable beautiful day. A little bit of a late day breeze out of the Southwest Friday morning does start off with some sunshine, but the clouds will be moving in ahead of a front and rain will get here late in the day. After four o'clock, we have just a couple of light scattered. It doesn't really look like we're going to get much from this front and it is going to move through quickly. So by midnight, the rain is gone and it's a dry start to the weekend. We noticed some extra clouds around Saturday before showers return late Sunday. So there is that showery weather and some of the rain could last through Monday. It gets breezy after that. A little bit cooler and a dry stretch ahead as we head into the start of Hanukkah. Looks great sunshine with daytime highs in the forties. All right, Sam, thanks.

East Meadow TikToker gets front row seat to Artemis 1 launch

321 boosters indignation And lift off of Artemus one. We rise together back to the moon and beyond and there it goes the US now, one step closer to putting astronauts back on the moon, Nasa finally launches new moon rocket from Cape Canaveral early this morning. Artemis one is carrying the Orion spacecraft with three test dummies aboard on a 25.5 day journey around the moon and back. The historic journey is part of a plan to return humans to the lunar surface for the first time since the end of the Apollo program 50 years ago. And it wasn't just NASA celebrating today in East Meadow man who created a Tiktok account to make science fun and understandable at a front row seat to witness the historic launch of Artemis one. Justin Collins joining us. Now, also known as the just Oni in Justin, what was it like having a front row seat this morning. It was absolutely amazing. It's just incredible to see history happening right in front of you. I just, I was speechless and everybody around once the rocket took off we all started screaming and laughing and cheering and to just see the blinding light of this night launch. It was at about two a.m. But after the rocket took off it was as bright as if it was noon and the sheer sound waves that hit you from the rocket launching. It felt like your whole soul and body was shaking but not from the earth but from the atmosphere. Amazing! I was gonna ask if you actually felt it physically and you you just confirmed that for us there. You said when you found out you were invited by Nasa you were freaking out. So I could say I guess it's safe to say this morning. You were also freaking out when you saw the launch. Huh? Yes I was we were there for a while. I got there at about seven p.m. And we waited until one o'clock and then it kind of stretched to two o'clock but the whole time everyone was just pumped up just ready for this to happen, everything was looking good. And so we all just kind of sat there fingers crossed and nails painted green for good luck. Now you're one of about 100 people with social media creators that got this lucky invitation. Talk about what you do on your platform. Obviously you're making science fun and more enjoyable to people that otherwise might look in the other direction. So my page kind of just started more as a love letter to science because I just I love learning, it's kind of been my whole thing just growing up. But I just wanted to help anybody that wants to learn about science be able to learn about it because it can be really hard for some people to understand uh contact. I feel like everybody should be able to learn and that's really the driving force behind it just a passion for science and a passion for teaching. Well your you know what, Justin we thank you for your time tonight and you're talking to one of those people that has, has had trouble learning that kind of a subject. We appreciate your time.
