Jewel Alexis-Josey is a 7-year-old Brooklyn girl whose work launching a nonprofit is getting her a second visit to the White House – this time, to sing.

Jewel launched ‘Where Love Wins’ with her mother, which holds food and coat drives to provide for the needy. The nonprofit also helps to applaud police officers for keeping local neighborhoods safe.

Her determination garnered the attention of local elected officials, and soon reached national acclaim. She visited the White House for the first time on the National Day of Prayer in 2020, and this time, she’s returning for the 2023 National Day of Prayer to sing.

The prayer will take place this Saturday – which also happens to be Jewel’s birthday.
