The owner of an East End restaurant says barbecue is where the heart is, so he brought a Texas-style place to the Hamptons.
Bill Valentine is the pitmaster at
Townline BBQ, which features Texas-style ribs, dry rubs and brisket.
Co-owner Mark Smith says despite its Hamptons location, the restaurant is noticeably un-Hamptons. Smith says the restaurant has a lot of character and a lot of meat, ranging from ribs to pulled pork and its top seller smoked half chicken.
