The popular Riverhead Cider House recently opened The Apple Shack, a space designed for large events.
John DeKenipp says there is plenty of room to social distance and move around.
“Kids have room to play games, get the family together,” DeKenipp says. “That’s the thing we enjoy most here.”
The cider house opened four years ago and became popular with its rustic and country feel.
It is furnished with recycled items like wine barrel tables and tractor seats.
Brendan Corcoran says it was originally a warehouse and his mother designed it to “feel like home.”
The Riverhead Cider House also presents live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and has an outdoor patio for both newcomers and repeat customers.
