Making the beer batter
Ingredients
- Quarter-cup Golden Dipt
- 2 tablespoons white rice flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beer
Instructions
- Place the Golden Dipt, the rice flour and the salt into a mixing bowl.
- Slowly add the beer and mix using a whisk.
- Once all the beer has been added whisk until all flour lumps have been removed and set aside.
- The mix should resemble pancake batter.
Making the fish sandwich
Ingredients
- 6 ounces flounder filet
- 1 cup Golden Dipt
- St. Piere brioche rolls
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 each American cheese (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons tartar sauce
Instructions
Place the Golden Dipt in a mixing bowl.
Place the beer batter in a second bowl.
Dust the cod filet in the Golden Dipt.
Place cod filet into the beer batter.
Fry the cod filet in 350 degree oil for 6 minutes.
Toast and butter the roll.
Spread 1 tablespoon of tartar sauce onto each half of the roll.
Assemble sandwich by placing flounder and American cheese on bottom piece of bread. Place the top bun onto the sandwich.
