It all started when Stephen Scarnato got an internship at an East End vineyard. From that internship came an idea for his business - Long Island Vine Care.
The company plants and maintains from start to finish your own personal vineyard. They also make the wine.
Scarnato says the average is under hundred vines, right around a tenth of an acre. From 100 vines, you can get 100 bottles of wine, he says.
He has clients from one end of Long Island to the other.
"I even have a project in Brooklyn, Rooftop Reds, where we're growing grapes on a rooftop," says Scarnato.
