Corn is one of the most popular things grown locally that Long Islanders love to eat. Now people around the country are also drinking it!
In this week's The East End, Doug Geed visited Long Island Spirits in Baiting Hollow where local corn is the base for their very popular canned drinks.
Long Island's first distillery is distributing its canned craft cocktails to 20 states.
The drinks are carbonated and the base is vodka.
Last year, they temporarily stopped production of their spirits to produce hand sanitizer.
They also closed their indoor tasting bar and kept everyone outside - something they've continued to do. The front door where guests entered is now closed.
Long Island Spirits is open seven days a week.
