It's that time of year: time for bushels of freshly picked sweet corn to make their debut at East End farm stands.
People from all over the Island are making their way out to the Twin Forks this weekend to get their hands on some locally grown ears.
The summertime favorite is available now at places like Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck.
Jeff Rottkamp sells sweet corn at his farm stand in Calverton, and he also ships hundreds of bags of it each day to retailers from the Hamptons to Manhattan.
At Patty's Berries and Bunches in Mattituck, they serve up a sweet corn ice cream. Described as sweet, salty and buttery, it's one of their best sellers.
