East End: Fall at Blue Duck Bakery in Southold

News 12's Doug Geed visited Blue Duck Bakery in Southold to see what they're baking for the holidays at the popular bakery.
Thanksgiving is a holiday where people give thanks, but for people in the bakery world, it means long hours.
Although they have a big selection of pies, this time of year it's the traditional ones that are most popular.
Also big this time of year is the pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin loaf cakes, carrot cake and cupcakes.
Keith Kouris made a name for himself with his bread making -- it's what launched The Blue Duck Bakery Cafe business he and his wife Nancy run.
The breads range from Italian to a German sauerkraut rye.
He sells his breads at his bakeries in Southold and Greenport, but also to area restaurants and in the city.
Along with all those breads, throw in the arrival of the holiday season and you have a very busy time of year.
