It's nice to see people having a newfound, or increased respect for local and fresh produce.

The end of the year doesn't mean the end of fresh local vegetables. News 12's Doug Geed takes you to an East End farm stand that stays open until Christmas - Bayview Market and Farms in Aquebogue.

This time of year, they have cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, spinach, broccoli, leeks, and fall squash.

The sprawling farm stand has a large indoor area, where they also sell a lot of their produce jarred.

They also bake pies, breads and cookies. And Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations.
