Two alleged squatters are facing charges after they were confronted by the home's owner in Uniondale, according to authorities.

Police say the homeowner arrived at his vacant house on Barry Place to find Dwayne Williams and Pamela Council inside. They say the suspects produced a forged lease agreement and claimed they were renting the home.

Authorities say Williams and Council removed a lock box from the front door and changed the locks to the home.

They face charges including burglary and forgery.
