Police hope surveillance video will help them nab two men wanted for a string of Longwood robberies that included an 87-year-old victim.
Police say the duo has robbed at least five people in late January. They say the suspects approach their victims from behind, put them in a chokehold, then rob them.
According to police, the pair first robbed a 24-year-old man around 9 p.m. Jan. 21 on Intervale Avenue. A 22-year-old woman was robbed hours later on Hoe Avenue.
Police say surveillance video from a Southern Boulevard building shows the suspects robbing an 87-year-old woman Jan. 27 around 10:30 p.m.
According to police, the fourth robbery occurred Jan. 28 on the stairs of the Westchester Avenue and Simpson Street subway stop.
The final incident occurred Jan. 29 on Southern Boulevard, where a 19-year-old woman was robbed.
