Police are searching for the driver who crashed an SUV into a Patchogue building and took off on Tuesday.
Police say the SUV went across the lawn of the United Methodist Church, took out a fire hydrant, a pole and then slammed into the building on South Ocean Avenue.
Police say a man driving the car ran from the scene.
