The driver involved in the fatal shooting of NYPD Det. Jonathan Diller has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Lindy Jones, 43, pleaded guilty to a weapons possession charge for driving with a loaded 9mm pistol last month.

Authorities say he was behind the wheel when his passenger, Guy Rivera, shot Diller with a different illegal gun during a 2024 traffic stop in Queens.

Investigators found Jones’ 9mm pistol inside the glove compartment of the vehicle the next day. They say it was defaced and had the serial number scratched off.

Rivera was convicted of numerous charges in April and sentenced to 115 years to life in prison.
