A Georgia native who was working as a driver for the Zac Brown Band a few years ago, got the chance to thank the nurses who saved his life at Jones Beach.
Brock Calhoun, along with this family, returned to New York for the first time since the incident. Calhoun was aboard the band's tour bus when he suffered a seizure and stopped breathing.
At the time, Jones Beach was being used as a COVID-19 testing site. Medical personnel working at the site jumped into action and were able to get Calhoun stable before he was rushed to the hospital.
"I can't give up, and that's what I did. I can't and I won't, and i'll never give up fighting," says Calhoun. "I truly want to thank you, thank you, thank you."
Calhoun says he took the gig on Long Island as a favor.
