A drive-by preschool graduation was held in Port Washington on Thursday for some little Long Islanders.
The 3- and 4-year-old graduates attended The Happy Montessori School of Port Washington.
The students got to see their teachers waving at them with signs - some of the kids got to see their teachers in person for the very first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
"It's touching. We missed out on school for months and we get to see all the teachers. It's like a warm embrace," says Naomi Starr.
One of the teachers told News 12 that the kids were like family, and one of the hardest things about the quarantine was that they weren't able to give the kids hugs.
