It was a big day in New Brunswick on Monday as a 6-year-old girl celebrated officially beating bone cancer.
Friends and family of Gianna drove by in a parade to honor the young girl. Her mother says that it was a long journey, but that she never gave up hope.
“It wasn’t easy, but with her spirit and attitude, she left me no choice but to keep pushing,” says mother Jennifer Guzman. “Throughout the whole time, no matter what, she kept a smile on my face and kept a smile on everyone’s face.”
Gianna also rang a bell at the hospital to mark the moment she finished her treatment.
