Despite social distancing and stay-at-home orders, you can still make your little one's birthday a special celebration that he or she will never forget. We've got some ideas that are sure to make your child smile.
You can arrange for a virtual visit from their favorite princess. Several places across the country offer Zoom birthday parties, one-on-one video chats, custom birthday shoutouts and even free story time sessions via Facebook. Madison Plummer, with Amazing Fairytale Parties, says she sings songs, makes balloon animals, tells stories and more. The company has lots of characters who can be booked for the big day.
Balloon creations are another idea to add some fun to the day. In Westchester, there's a balloon artist who is sure to brighten your child's birthday. Anthony of Balloons by Anthony says he can build pretty much anything - from balloon arches to character sculptures. Customers can even order a virtual show.
And if your kids are into dance parties, you can order a single special light bulb that will turn your living room into a disco lounge. Then just flip on a playlist from Spotify or Apple Music that will make you all want to move.
As far as party food, be sure to support your favorite local restaurant with a curbside pickup or no-contact delivery order.
