A life saver and the man whose life was saved met for the first time on Long Island last night.

Rocco underwent a lifesaving bone morrow transplant three years ago and Christian Verholdon was the donor.
Last night, the two met face-to-face for the first time in Woodbury at the annual Celebration of Life gala where hundreds of donors and recipients come together.
Verholden traveled all the way from Germany to attend.
News 12 Long Island’s Erin Colton served as keynote speaker for the event in honor of her dad, who is battling Lymphoma and also received a stem cell transplant.
