Republican presidential candidate front-runner Donald Trump was declared the winner of his party's primary election Tuesday in New York state.
The businessman spoke shortly after the polls closed at 9 p.m. from his campaign headquarters at Trump Tower in Manhattan.
Trump began his roughly seven-minute speech with a jab at the media before hitting his key points including building up the nation's military, immigration and rebuilding the economy.
He reiterated what other Republican candidates have said, which is that he would repeal the Affordable Care Act on his first day in office. Trump also said that he'd eliminate the controversial Common Core exams.
Democrat Hillary Clinton was declared the winner of her party.
