A Rottweiller was fatally shot Wednesday in a home invasion in Locust Valley. Police say the incident occurred around 12 p.m. Wednesday on 10th Street. The home is just minutes away from the Nassau Country Club.Officials say the suspects entered the home by breaking through the front door and then shot the dog. According to police, the suspects then went upstairs and ordered two young men to the floor. Police say the suspects ransacked the home and took an undisclosed amount of money. The victims, according to police, were not hurt.
