An injured dog that escaped from the Hauppauge Animal Hospital was found Tuesday morning.
Surveillance video shows Pharaoh, a German Shepherd, opening a door by the handle with his paw at around 2:15 a.m. Monday. The dog was recovering from surgery when he somehow got out of his cage and made it to the back door. Pharaoh also made it past an outside gate.
Someone walking their dog in Blydenburgh County Park in Hauppauge spotted Pharaoh around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Owners Caren and Kevin Curti say it?s the animal hospital?s responsibility to make sure the animals in their care are kept safely inside.
