Doctors say COVID-19 might have saved a baby’s life.
William Long, 2 ½, of East Islip, had a seizure when he caught the virus at 8 months old.
According to doctors, having COVID-19 helped lead to the discovery of a lesion that has now been removed.
Both his doctor and family say it's a miracle
“We are so grateful he had that fever because who knows how long it would've taken for another fever to cause a seizure just like that," says Alexandra Long, William’s mom.
William's doctor says the early diagnosis helped prevent the lesion from growing into something much worse.
