Detectives: Uniondale man pointed gun at gas station attendant over $3 worth of gasoline

A Uniondale man is accused of pointing a gun at gas station attendant in Carle Place, detectives say.

They say the incident happened all over $3 worth of gas.

Detectives told News 12 that 34-year-old Roy Braithwaite became angry when his payment was denied at the Lokoil station on Westbury Avenue.

News 12 is told the 18-year-old attendant authorized the payment in fear for his life.

Braithwaite was arrested Monday at his home.
