A Nassau County police paramedic was assaulted Friday in Elmont, detectives say.
It happened at the home of 29-year-old Joseph Reid, who had called for an ambulance.
Reid is accused of pushing the paramedic through a door and onto a porch.
News 12 is told the paramedic injured his shoulder and was taken to the hospital.
Reid was arrested and charged with assault.
