2ds agoA Hempstead man has been arrested for driving drunk and leaving the scene of a fatal crash last month in Uniondale.
Police say Elvin Maradiaga was driving a Jeep that slammed into a pole on Jerusalem Avenue on Feb. 24. One of his passengers died days after the crash.
Maradiaga now faces charges including manslaughter, leaving the scene and DWI.
