Police: Uniondale crash leaves 35-year-old man in critical condition

Nassau police said they responded to a call about the incident Saturday at around 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Liberty Street on Jerusalem Avenue.

A 35-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after a car crash early Saturday morning in Uniondale.
Police said another occupant in the vehicle, a 45-year-old man, was also hospitalized.
Nassau police said they responded to a call about the incident at around 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Liberty Street on Jerusalem Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a Jeep Grand Cherokee that had overturned after striking a pole.
Police said one of the victims was pulled from the wreckage. Another victim was found by officers who were walking away from the scene.
The 35-year-old man suffered severe injuries, according to authorities.
Detectives said both of the men were passengers in the vehicle.
Police said what happened to the driver was under investigation as of Sunday night.
