There were delays and some cancellations on several branches of the Long Island Rail Road Monday due to a fire in an East River tunnel, according to the MTA.
Trains from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma, Babylon and Port Washington were all canceled due to the small debris fire.
The MTA says the fire has been extinguished and the trains are allowed back on the track.
The transit agency says there will be some residual delays due to the incident.
